Life after Death

I am always intrigued by death. What is it exactly? What happens when a person dies? Is there really a heaven and a hell? Is there a life after death?
The problem is nobody has answers to these questions. Nobody can even endeavor to find them out. A person can't die, find out answers and come back to life to put across 'life after death' theories. (Unless a bollywood director is controlling a person's life and instructing him to take a rebirth.:) )
Whenever great people die, we burn candles for them. We decorate their coffins with beautiful flowers. There are condolense meets. Special programs are arranged for them. But I always wonder, does our homage reach them? Do they really get to know how much we miss them?
We have created these concepts of 'heaven' and 'hell'. Most of us keep praying to God for a place in heaven after death. I am not sure if there is really something like a heaven. I sincerely believe if we keep doing good things in life, people will definitely miss us after we are gone. We definitely get a place in peoples' heart, if not in heaven. And that, in my opinion, is life after death. We are alive in peoples' prayers, we are alive in their memories. Our good deeds keep spreading good words for us. Our actions make us immortal!

  1. Remember Mam taught us two poems with two opposite views on 'Death - Do not go gentle into that good night' and 'The Emperor of Ice Cream' :)

  2. I suggest you read "Many Masters Many Lives" by Dr. Brian Weiss. And, another good book on the same lines is "The Laws of the Spirit World" by Khorshid Bhavnagari. Real eye-openers, these books, and very interesting reads too.
